I’m a 17 year old girl from the Netherlands. Yes, you’re right, I’m from this tiny country in Europe, which most people don’t even know where it is.
Anyway, I looove to write and to read. So, why not make a blog about reading and writing? Yeah, I’ve tried this before, but it didn’t really work out. I hope it does this time. When I’m older I want to be a writer. I want to move to the USA and pursue my dream.
I always knew that I wanted to be a writer. I always write whenever I feel happy or a bit down. As long as I have a story to write it doesn’t matter to me.
But it’s very hard to combine reading and writing. There are times I read very much, but I barely write and sometimes it’s just the other way around. Anyway, I’m trying to combine it a bit more by this blog. Whenever I’ve finished a book, I want to make a review (or at least some sort of review) of it. Until now I’m doing fine, I guess.
I never really want to make typical reviews, they’re so boring… So I try to make them a bit more readable. I try to tell you why I liked or disliked this book and I’ll highlight some things I’ve liked. Oh and I’ll promise I’ll never write a spoiler (but when I do, I’ll mention this).
But I won’t only post reviews. No, this blog is meant for a lot of other things too, but I guess you’ve already figured that out. Or at least, I hope. And if you didn’t I hope you’ll find out right now.
It’s a bit of a shame I’m not very good at English… For so long I wanted to be better, I wanted to speak, write and listen English like Englishmen, but I fail so hard. And that only because of my bad English education at middle school. That’s why my English has always been worse than everyone else’s. I know I’ve become better and I’ve learned myself a lot, but my teacher’s at high school are also terrible. I don’t get the things they explain to me and oh god, I’m so frustrated. Never in my whole life I have had a decent English teacher. So please, don’t blame me for my bad English. The reason why I do this in English, is to get better. So whenever you notice a mistake, please, please, please inform me.
Right now I’m not sure what else I can tell you, so I think I’ll just let you be. I hope you’ll like my blog and I hope you’ll stick around. At least, I hope I will too, but I promise, I’ll try.
Kind regards from the Netherlands.
