In my last post (yesterday) I told you about the next book I was about to read: Nimona. I started this book yesterday evening and to my surprised, I already finished it this morning. Unfortunately I had school, and that’s why I’m writing this review now and not earlier.
I don’t know why exactly, but I bought this book about a year ago, and for some stupid reason, I hadn’t picked it up yet. I wanted to read this book, but I thought it would be a really tough book to read, so yeah… It took me awhile to pick it up. And last week I finally decided it was about time.
Becky Albertalli became one of my favorite autors last year after I’ve read her book Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda. For me, this book was a life-changer. To be honest, I didn’t know when this book, The Upside Of Unrequited would come out, but this Friday I decided to pay a visit to the local bookstore and that’s where I saw this beauty and I discovered this book just came out. Of course, my heart was weak and I just had to buy it.

In my last post I announced that I was going to read A Court of Thorns and Roses next, because apparently everyone just loves this book. So I thought, why not give it a chance? Because the last one I read, which everyone also loved, turned out to be a huge succes. Well, I can’t always be so lucky… Because I absolutely hated this book!
I wanted to make three separate reviews, but after I’ve read the second book I couldn’t manage to write another review before starting the third book. I just wanted to keep going and going and going. Right now I still can’t really believe I’ve finished these three books.
As a Dutch person, I am very proud. Not many Dutch writers reach the New York Times Bestseller list. Not many Dutch writers get to be on number 1. And then we’re not even talking about Young Adult writers yet.
